P R E S S R E L E A S E Samsung Introduces Next Generation of MagicNet(TM) Displays at InfoComm 2007 MagicNet Pro Offers Advanced Features, Professional User Interface and Greater User FlexibilityANAHEIM, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Jun. 19, 2007-- Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a world-leading manufacturer of professional LCD and plasma display products, today introduced MagicNet Pro(TM), the next generation of Samsung's proprietary MagicNet software designed for corporate and commercial digital signage applications. A selection of Samsung's display portfolio, including the MagicNet Pro-enabled DXn series (400DXn, 460DXn, 570DXn and 820DXn), will be on display in the Samsung booth, #8400, at the Anaheim Convention Center, June 19-21. Samsung's MagicNet software enables users to control content across several displays using a single computer, eliminating the need for a dedicated PC for each display. With MagicNet, content creation and distribution is simple for all network operators -- users can simply drag-and-drop existing content files, requiring minimal supervision and training. Ideal for digital signage applications, MagicNet allows users to show different content on different displays at different times and schedule content up to a month in advance. MagicNet is also well-suited for a range of corporate applications -- for example, corporate presentations can be stored on a server and accessed when needed by the client without the need for a local PC. "As a global technology leader, Samsung is uniquely positioned to deliver best-of-breed technology solutions to benefit the digital signage and commercial markets," said Ajay Sharma, Product Marketing Manager, Professional AV Products, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. "With MagicNet Pro, Samsung has created a high-performance, user-friendly system that will allow a range of corporate and commercial users to clearly and powerfully communicate their business messages." The upgraded MagicNet Pro enabled models are equipped with a dual core CPU processor and embedded Windows XP that can display a range of multimedia content, including photographs and video files. The DXn series also features 512MB of memory and 4GB flash HDD, making the models a no-compromise solution for even the most demanding of commercial applications. MagicNet Pro offers a highly-customizable user experience, allowing operators to control the content and design of several designated areas. The upgraded software package also offers the choice of resolutions,up to 1920x1080, and allows users to choose between portrait and landscape mode. The upgraded MagicNet Pro system also offers two types of network connections: auto connection, within an easy-to-use sub-network and direct WAN connection. Whereas previous versions of MagicNet offered a simpler User Interface, MagicNet Pro is equipped with a professional, multi document User Interface, that offer enhanced flexibility and ease-of use for the network operator. All Samsung displays are backed by a three-year limited warranty on labor and parts, including the backlight, as well as toll-free technical support for the life of the display. The MagicNet Pro enabled DXn series will be available in August through Samsung resellers and distribution channels, which can be located by calling 1-800-SAMSUNG or by visiting http://www.samsung.com. Samsung Power Partners receive special promotions, lead referrals, training and technical support, as well as collateral and marketing materials.
