The CX Series was created for those environments where form and function are a requirement. This series features Samsung's award-winning industrial design and including features like a digital tuner, HDMI, hidden/integrated speakers along with integrated network PCs to enable easy content management. With a built-in HDTV tuner as well as a PC, the CX series provides a variety of uses with unlimited control from your network. Unlike traditional consumer HDTVs, the CX displays also offer both horizontal and vertical mounting and are compatible with industry-standard VESA wall mounting hardware. The CX series is perfect for indoor venues to display over-the-air programming and run localized content at the same time. They feature anti burn-in and anti image-retention circuits to minimize the possibility of static images damaging the unit. The CXns include a built-in PC allowing WAN connectivity, with MagicInfo capabilities. MagicInfo provides support for multiple content servers, automatic program updating by server, system performance monitoring, and remote content management. MagicInfo Pro also supports 1920 x 1080 full HD content, for the most impactful images possible. The CX line incorporates an RS-232C interface, allowing for a single remote computer to control up to 25 displays for convenient and efficient distribution of information. Bringing a new level of design to the professional display market, the CX series features a high-gloss shiny finish to add a touch of class to any environment. With a resolution of 1366 x 768 cd/m(2) of brightness on the 400CX and 400CXn and 1920 x 1080 cd/m(2) of brightness on the 460CX and 460CXn, 3000:1 high dynamic contrast ratio, and a fast 8ms response time, the CX series provides a clear image to support commercial needs. Built-in 10-watt speakers bring crisp, precise sounds to consumers nearby, eliminating the need for separate speakers. "The CX series is ideal for businesses where you need a professional TV product that exceeds expectations in form and function," said Christopher Franey, vice president of commercial sales and marketing for Samsung Electronics America, Information Technology Division. "Introducing new features, such as the addition of a built-in tuner, with design functionality and high-quality performance combined with the built-in PC, is another example of Samsung's commitment to growth, innovation, development and success within the digital signage industry." Other features of the CX series include a heavy-duty power supply; advanced cooling technologies and dust build-up prevention techniques for cooler operating temperatures and longer component life; and advanced shielding helps eliminate interference from electromagnetic devices. Additionally, security lock-out features help eliminate interference from retail customers and any patrons. Like all Samsung displays, the CX series large format displays are backed by a three-year limited warranty on labor and parts, including the backlight, as well as toll-free technical support for the life of the display. The CX series will be available in late August through Samsung resellers and distribution channels, which can be located by calling 1-800-SAMSUNG or by visiting http://www.samsung.com.
