P R E S S R E L E A S E LG ELECTRONICS EXPANDS DIGITAL ADVERTISING POSSIBILITIES WITH NEXT EVOLUTION OF LCD MONITORS New Digital Signage Products Bring Enhanced Connectivity, Interactivity to Commercial SpacesORLANDO, June 17, 2009 –(Virtual Press Office)- A technology innovator in the digital signage industry, LG Electronics is highlighting a diverse product line to engage audiences and communicate messages with touch, stretch, and triple view monitors this week at InfoComm 2009 (booth # 5321). LG Electronics LCD monitors improve almost any environment demonstrating the growing importance of digital out of home advertising. Wayfinding touch screens such as model M4714T not only bring new options for customer service, but also modernize their environment. For spaces looking to capture the interest of passers-by to loyal customers, LG’s “Triple View” LCD monitor (model M4714V) delivers a versatile package with superior picture clarity in a stylish design. A revolution in digital signage, the LG Triple View monitor connects customers with up to three different images or advertisements based upon their angle of view to the monitor. “Today, with the constant need to communicate messages quickly and effectively, the importance of finding the right digital signage product is more important than ever before,” said Jeff Dowell, vice president, Digital Signage, LG Electronics USA Business Solutions. “LG provides cutting edge products that pinpoint the needs for all customers – from retail environments to hospitals and hotels.”
Evolving Digital Signage With an increased demand for sleek technology solutions to attract consumers in public areas from retail environments to financial institutions, LG’s Triple View LCD delivers a versatile package with superior picture clarity. The Triple View monitor interacts with customers using up to three different images or advertisements based upon their angle of view to the monitor. Using a parallax barrier the light passage of the left, right and center pixels, is divided. As a result, this technology allows the screen to display three different images, each covering approximately a 50 degree viewing angle. Each of the three viewable angles can display creative still imagery to allow for a more advanced way of reaching consumers. With an 8 ms response time, the Triple View offers quick and easy image refreshing on each of the viewable images. Ideal for advertising, the Triple View can reach multiple consumers at one time, with a wide variety of content. For hard to fit installations, or those where just one monitor will not do, LG’s stretch screens are the perfect fit. Available in 29-and 38-inch class sizes (M2900S-BN and M3800S-BN) these models are half the height of traditional LCD monitors, making the stretch screen an elegant addition to smaller spaces. On display this week in several hospitality settings, the stretch screen can be mounted for portrait or landscape presentation. Also ideal for digital restaurant or bar menus and hotel directories, the stretch screens have a native display resolution of 1366 x 398 (38-inch), 1366 x 480 (29-inch), and a contrast ratio of 1,000:1. This display technology delivers crisp, clear imagery that is ideal for menus and special advertisements. While a Super IPS angle of 178 degrees guarantees that no matter where a patron is sitting, content on the stretch screen can be viewed at almost any angle.
Versatility is the Spice of Life For hospitality and entertainment applications, the 42-inch class* (model M4224C) LCD monitor brings high definition content display options. A Full HD 1080p resolution monitor, the M4224C features new LAN and video wall control for easy scheduling and dissemination of content. With an ultra-slim 16.9 mm bezel, the M4224C blends easily into any environment. For larger digital signage needs, LG has introduced an all-new 65-inch class* Full HD capable monitor (model M6500C). With a 1920 x 1080p display resolution and an ultra high contrast ratio of 3,000:1, this 65-inch class model allows for crisp imaging on a big screen. With video wall matrix tiling capability built in, the 65-inch class monitor can be applied in any number of settings from displaying bus or train routes to a sports video wall in hospitality settings. For environments where just one screen won't do, LG's new “Warecube” makes a splash. This unique monitor combines three 47-inch class* portrait panels in a matrix with a single point of entry for the video input. Communicating a variety of messages can now be done easily by spreading them across all three screens with the ease of a single point connection.
