P R E S S R E L E A S E Sampo Professional To Demonstrate Industry’s First Network via Internet Protocol (IP) Address Using a Web Browser Interface LAS VEGAS – June 7, 2005 – Sampo Professional, a leading provider of network-enabled flat-panel display solutions for the commercial, education and government sectors, and home theater environments, will demonstrate at InfoComm 2005 (booth 8112) the industry's-first IP-addressable LCD-TV's and plasma displays which provide users with the ability to remotely control their digital displays through an existing network infrastructure. In addition to lowering the cost of deployment and increasing operational efficiencies, the network control capability of the 2005 line of Sampo Professional displays further enhances emerging video applications such as video on demand, emergency and security notification, distance learning, and videoconferencing. Sampo Professional will demonstrate the ability to control its 2005 line of value-packed, feature-rich IPaddressable digital displays through wired and wirelessly connected PCs and PDAs via an easy-to-use, intuitive Web browser interface. In addition to basic control functions such as power on/off, picture-inpicture (PIP), picture-over-picture (POP), and screen and sound adjustments, users can also remotely switch video sources giving administrators the ability to instantaneously switch displays to a predetermined video source for applications such as video paging or emergency message broadcasts. The displays also feature a variety of connectivity options including: RF, DVI, RGB input and loop-out, composit / S-Video inputs, SD/HD component video inputs, discrete audio inputs, audio and subwoofer outputs, and RS-232 and RJ-45 control ports.
