EXPANDED LINE OF RCA 4K ULTRA HIGH DEFINITION TVS INTRODUCED AT 2015 INTERNATIONAL CES

Seven New Affordable Models Include First RCA Curved Set

Las Vegas, NV, January 6, 2015 – RCA is expanding its commitment to 4K Ultra High Definition TV with the introduction of seven models at the 2015 International CES. The sets, in screen sizes ranging from 50-inches to 85-inches, include the brand’s first curved model. These LED 4K UHD TVs, priced affordably from $949.99 to $2,999.99, deliver stunning pictures offering four times the resolution of standard high-definition TVs.

All of the RCA TVs will be on display in booth 8732 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, January 6 – 9. The RCA brand is owned by Technicolor and is licensed to On Corporation for manufacturing and distribution.

To deliver pristine images, the new 4K UHD models feature an advanced upscaling engine, color enhancement and super optimum frame reproduction.

  • Upscaling engine incorporates multi-directional scaling technology, high-tap filters with programmable parameter de-jagging support and video feather artifact detection and removal.
  • Pure color enhancement includes detail enhancement and recover, scene detection, 3D adaptive color control and 3D adaptive sharpness control
  • Super optimum frame reproduction includes advanced halo reduction plus, motion compensation rate conversion, motion blur elimination to improve MPRT and major frame rate conversion.

The sets also feature Smart TV functionality for expanded program options, including some apps that deliver 4K content, as well as built-in Wi-Fi for connection to the Internet and online services. The TVs also incorporate HEVC H.265 decoding capable of handling 4K content from multiple sources, four HDMI 2.0 inputs and HDCP 2.2. Two models, the 55-inch (XLD55A65RQ) and 65-inch (XLD65A65RQ) TVs also feature a 60 watt/six driver, detachable, advanced sound system. The 65-inch curved model enhances the panoramic wide effect creating a new and exciting viewing experience.
