VIZIO's First Original Short Film Selected to World Premiere at South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Film Festival 2015

Collaboration with Digital Studio Everdream Focuses on Artful 4K Storytelling and Fueling Next Generation Filmmakers

Irvine, CA - March 10, 2015 - VIZIO, America's #1 Smart TV company (1) in the U.S., announced today a creative collaboration with Everdream resulting in its first original documentary titled Growth, which was selected to World Premiere at SXSW Film Festival 2015 in Austin, TX on March 14, 2015. Seeking to create original cinematic 4K content in support of its P-Series Ultra HD Full-Array LED Smart TVs, VIZIO partnered with Everdream to create a compelling narrative with powerful 4K visual storytelling.

VIZIO aligned with the emerging digital studio to create original cinematic content capable of standing on its own as a short film. While subtly incorporating elements of VIZIO's brand essence, Growth tells the story of 75 unique individuals as they journey through various chapters in life. The story is masterfully captured through a unique bird's-eye view using a combination of state-of-the-art 6K RED DRAGON® cameras and drone-mounted Ultra HD cameras.Meditative in nature, the 14-minute documentary explores the beauty and understated complexities of growing up through experiences that illustrate individual diversities and universal traits shared across cultures, ultimately uniting humanity.
