My Experience: This is a great tv......I've had this 50 inch hp for 3 years and enjoyed it very much. I never experienced any major problem with it. The colors are amazing and the deep black contrast allowed me to see every images with depth. I positioned the brightness to 30, the contrast to 90, saturation to 85, hue +2, and finally the sharpness to 80. Wham...........you get the greatest picture quality for anything on high definition programing.

Problems: The only problem I noticed was when the picture displayed a forest of trees and branches or a landscape of similar small objects in full screen, the brightness kept flicking on and off, dark to light/light to dark. It seems the set was having problems locking to a stable bright image. I tried to lower the brightness and sharpness, but nothing I did stopped this flicking. This is the only problem I encountered with this hp tv and this is why I posted a good instead of an excellent image quality. All in all, this is a good tv.
