My Experience: We have had this TV for 3 years. The warranty just ran out and now the problems start. We get no picture but we do have sound. Have talk to Circuit City where we bought TV and they told us to call Hitachi. They gave us names to repair guys in our area that are suppose to work on these TV's, only to find one that would actually come out and look for $150.00. He said problem is in the AVC 75 box. he called everyone he knew to call and was told they no longer make parts for this model. Could not even find someone to rebuild it. Once again called Hitachi to tell them. They said they can't believe they no longer make parts for a 3 yr old TV, they are to be cheching into this and get back to us. In the meantime saw this site and thought I would see if anyone knows where to get a new AVC box?? Please let us know.
