My Experience: I have owned this TV for 3 years. In the first year and a half the bulb, color wheel and the DMD board all when bad. Now 3 years later I am having the same problem and was told by the authorized Samsung service tech that the bulb, color wheel and the DMD board is bad. I had a 5 year service plan with tweeter who went out of business and the company that bought their contracts also went out of business. So Samsung said that the repair would cost around $1200.00 and take 4-6 weeks. I asked if this is going to happen every year and a half and the tech said it shouldn't maybe I just got a bad one. I paid 2200 for the TV brand new now they want me to pay more than half the price of a new one to have the TV repaired.
Problems: second time in 3 years the DMD board, Color wheel and bulb have gone bad and Samsung says they don't know why but will glady fix it if I pay them the $1200.00 Samsung is not helpful to explain the cause of the problem so I can try to prevent it in the future I know the bulb may not last forever, but to replace the dmd board and color wheel every year and half is alot.
