My Experience: I've owned the TV for 9 years and it's never given me any problems. On tweaked "Movie" settings the picture looks great. The price, at the time I paid for it, was reasonable and good value for the money. The only problem I've encountered is that the TV doesn't get any network TV reception, because I live in a mountainous region.
