My Experience: Well, I bought this unit (or rather one very similar to it) at Costco. From what I understand the Costco version is part number LC-C3742U, with the only difference (supposedly) the part number and the bezel being matte black instead of glossy black. The LC-C3742U doesn't appear anywhere on the SHARP USA website either - to make it a bit more vague in what I have actually purchased. The specs on the carton match those of the LC-37D42U - so I have to believe the panels are the same.
Problems: The biggest issue I have is with skin tones - I just can't adjust this unit to give anything near correct. The pixelation is also a bit much - especially with SD sources. I know you can't expect too much with SD material, but my 27" crt TV has nearly the same height as this panel, and the picture quality is far superior. Even with 480I dvd source, there is a lot of digital noise that is not there on a conventional tube.
