My Experience: I've been going crazy looking for a 37in LCD for 2K. I finally went with the 37hlx and spent 200 more. I finally settled on the 37hlx over the sharp or the lg. the shap was about 200 dollars more and the lg was about 200 less. The dvd was a nice bonus since I will be hanging on the wall and not add a sound system. That means the only wire I will need to hide is the power cord.
Image: the sharp was a little better picture and the lg looked a little worse. (You pay for what you get) What made my final decision is I looked at the 37hlx right next to the 32 hl, and the difference was significant to say the least. I figured the 37HLwas similar to the 32hl. My choice was the 37 hl for 2K or the HLX for 2,200. I went for the extra 200, not because of the DVD, but the picture quality was significantly better.
