My Experience: Bought one (the 52 inch version). Had a hum so I took it back for exchange. Second TV lasted 18 months. Bulb burned out. New bulb did not work. After 4 weeks in the shop was told the light engine was shot. New parts not available for 4 weeks. BB replaced under extended warranty program. I was told that on these Toshibas when the bulb goes, sometimes it takes the light engine with it. Replaced with Sony 50' XBR. Great so far. Superior picture and black is real black on the Sony.

Problems: Hum on first unit. Second unit lasted 18 months. Not good for a $3,000 TV.
