My Experience: HD is fantastic with DirectTV and Off air HD. This is through the Direct TV box not the internal tuner. The HDMI input does look better than the component in, as it should be. Regular TV is good if not stretched out. HD looks god no matter what the resolution or stretch you do.
A progresive DVD is awsome though Component input.


Problems: This is a refurb unit and there is a small dead pixel upper right side. Only noticable if you look for it. A bright pixel would have been returned. The inputs are hard to plug into as they are under a ledge. But at least they are well marked.
