My Experience: I have had this unit for about a year. It was on sale and in retrospect, I may have bought a DLP unit at a comprable price but in Nov of last year there was still about a $500 difference in price. It has performed admirably and the picture ranges from very good to great depending on input but I have not yet utilized the HD features. I plan to get a Roku 1000 in the near future to correct this and hope to see 'incredible'.
If someone had not seen an HD picture, this unit with a satellite input (I use dish at 544x480) would think the picture was quite impressive.
The 15pin VGA input from a PC will restrict your 4:3>16:9 options to'standard' zoom. I have few complaints with this EXCEPT that a few actresses whom I know to be '10s' have looked a touch fat. The addition of the Roku unit should correct that since it has a component output which will allow the use of the smartzoom which leaves the center more-or-less intact and stretches the outside of the picture.
All in all, if this unit is available for $500 less than the same size DLP unit, you will be happy with the purchace.
Problems: The remote buttons seemed to be mis-programmed. Zenith service (located in Huntsville, Al surprisingly) was willing to send a replacement, but I got in a 12/7 work situation and did not have time to send it back.
