My Experience: Bought this set about 4 years ago from Circuit City (it's now March, 2010). Recently started seeing the problem everyone else has cited with this set. Outside of this problem, the set has been very nice, but the problem becomes a showstopper and seems to happen out of nowhere...
Problems: The "temp" and "lamp" bulbs blink repeatedly once you turn the set on, you hear 2 buzzes in a row, and you never get a picture.
apparently the lamp goes bad on this set after a short number of years and if you google this set you will find many have replaced the lamp many times, and almost all owners who have had the set for over a year seem to eventually report this issue.
I paid a couple thousand for it and am on the fence as to whether I should have it fixed or just cut my losses before I end up spending the equivalent in lamps over time.
Not recommended at any price.
