My Experience: Have been using this now for 2.5 years and have it connected to a PS3 for gaming and B-ray , amazingly , this sucker will do 1080P when using c-video cables via your b-ray player to the HDTV connection, however that is only for ps3 menu and 1080P games.
Have an up-converting dvd player connected via HDMI , fantastic near HD images with DVD playback.
Paid about 1000 for this and have never looked back.
Great intro HDTV and a VERY good 1080I set especially if you have something to help clean up the video signal such as an amp with conversion chip included.



Problems: Only problem appears to be a handshake issue with HDMI connection when using YB PB CR color filter with a PS3, screen turnes pink, however turn TV off and On ...problem fixed.
People having issues with the grey square in the middle of their TV obviously have not tried turning TV on then off , fixes the problem every time.
