My Experience: A good buy for the money, overall bargain. I compared this model with about six others of the same size. This store has a better set up for viewing all competing sets and it stood out from a good distance away as being better or equal to most all of the more expensive sets in viewing quality including larger screen models.
I have it on cable so great pic. The colors, brightness, flesh tones are good, as we’ve had in any RCA set. We always rated RCA’s/Zenith flesh tones more real than any other manufacturer, although they have declined with their sellouts to others.
Problems: Only problem with us is sound selection and screen selection set up. My wife doesn’t like any of the wide screen venues.
She won’t watch unless it is on Pix 1, which defeats purposes of buying a wide screen. I prefer Pix3 although it does truncate some of the picture.
This is what we have discovered that couldn’t be checked in the store, as had no access to a remote: Pix 1 is a 26” TV screen, Pix 2 stretches the width too much, thus distortion. Pix 3 truncate top and bottom of picture and Pix4 just not sure what this does to pic. Maybe other wide screens are this way too, but didn’t realize a problem like this with viewing.
I would prefer more bass in the sound, but the sound select is not very selective as all other sets we have (independent selection of the different tones).
Over all, still a good TV for cost verses others.
