My Experience: I bought my DP42848 in February 2009 and had to send it for repair because there were pixel lines coming from the top of the screen. I was rather disappointed when i looked it up on line and saw hundreds of bad reviews reembling my problem except the majority of the complaints were dark shadows on the screen and the tv turning off by it's self and not turning back on. Fortunately for me i purchased the extended warranty for the tv so it was covered, i ended up getting the newer model because they were not able to get the panel anymore. In the future i do not plan to purchase a Sanyo TV and will do lots of research before i put money into a product that is so expensive. I thought it would be a great buy because it is a popular brand but i think that before making such a large purchase you need to do the research first!

Problems: The panel needed to be replaced due to pixel lines coming down from the top of the screen.
