My Experience: While the TV was working, it offered an absolutely amazing picture, outstanding sound, and easy functionality.

Problems: One Year and One Week after purchasing my Bravia, it stopped working. For the last two weeks, I have been jumping through hoops to get Sony to cover the nearly $900 cost of repair (the "A" board needs to be replaced). So far...no luck!
So -- I recommend either: NOT buying a SONY, or (if you REALLY love Sony)...purchase the extended warranty (to save yourself the headache I'm going through now).
