My Experience: I had a 42" Sony 720p that I put in my bedroom and replace it with the Vizo in the living room. The picture on the Vizio blows away the Sony. I dont know if it is because of better contrast levels or the 1080p but it is twice as sharp as the sony. And the sound is also so much better. With the cost as cheap as it is the vizio vw42lf is a great HDTV.

Problems: The only con I think of is lack of features on the remote. There is no button you use to simply go from regular to zoom.
