My Experience: We purchased this TV Jan'06 with a 2 yr warranty from Sears. The bulb went out within a year but with a call for service we were told the warranty didn't cover the lamp. A week later and $200 in the whole the TV was up and running. More than a year later the bulb goes out again and Hitachi tells us the warranty covered the original bulb but not the newer one. (huh?) Now a third year and a third bulb (another new one) and the screen is bull's eyed with a orange circle. Hitachi tells us that the TV needs updating and they will send a "disc" to insert into the set to update it. They should know where they can insert this TV! Hitachi and Sears never again.
Problems: Warranty no good, bulb constantly needs replacing, screen developing "orange outs", poor service quality.
