My Experience: In 4 1/2 years I have replaced the lamp 3 times. This tv is not watched often enough to warrant that kind of lamp life. Yesterday I replaced the lamp and the male plug feel back into the set. I had to call a repairman to fix the plug costing another un-necessary 160 bucks.
