My Experience: Picked this bad boy up at Sams's Club for just under $1700 which includes a matching stand. The stand is a little cheap and can get scratches real easily, but it looks nice at the end. The picture quality is decent for the price. My PS3 looks great hooked up through HDMI. I was suprised how well this TV sounded. I'm still going back to sams later on to pick up a nice sound system, but the TV speakers work very well.
This set doesnt have a VGA input (which I was previously using for my Xbox 360) so I had to go back to component, but overall the picture looks good considering its monster size. Blu-ray movies look and sound amazing, and the games are very nice aswell.
If you're looking for a TV that can display standard-definition content and still look good, this is the one! I used to have an LCD before this and the standard programming looked like trash. This TV displays my basic cable VERY well, and at a much bigger size.
Problems: There were a couple little black marks on the inside of the screen, they were the size of a tiny dot or a period. I can only see them sitting real close to the screen. On my sofa they aren't there. There are a total of 5-6 of them. They were on the inside of the screen, but I called Philips and they are sending a tech agent out to fix it. The CS seems very helpful at this point.
To be honest, its not really any big problem, I could probably live the rest of my life with this TV and not notice it.
