My Experience: Paid $950 for this three years ago. I have friends that come over with new LCD's and are all amazed at my picture quality. Have experiences the flashing red light, but unplug and it restarts with no issues. I can't find another TV better, maybe the LED's now. If you have problems, use the flash drive to update software.
